Zan Raynor is the founder of ELLAS. She is a linguist and master teacher. She holds three degrees (a bachelor’s, a master’s, and a professional law degree) from American universities as well as both certifications in teaching English from Cambridge – the bachelor level CELTA and the master level DELTA. Her DELTA thesis topic was Online and Blended Learning combined with Exam Preparation.
Zan has taught every level of learner from preschool to high school, university, and adults for over 25 years. She has taught theatre, theology, history, public speaking and speech/debate, and Latin language and literature. As a teacher of English as a second language, she has focused on Business and Academic English. She works easily in both American and British English.
Since 2013, Zan has been consulting with English language learning organizations, providing support for teaching, teacher training, teacher recruitment, and curriculum development and learning design. Equally skilled and experienced in on location and remote learning, she assists learning organizations as they transfer from one to the other or build their learning environment from the ground up.
Zan has studied over a dozen languages and lived in a number of different countries around the world, including in North America, Europe and Asia.
